CAT (Common Admission Test) is a common entrance exam for admission in various management colleges all over India. If you think that study material and coaching study is enough for CAT exam preparation, you need to think again. Your performance in the exam depends a lot on your preparation strategy. No matter how many good books you collect and how many classes you attend, but the final result will depend on how efficiently you studied for the exam. Below are some tips to help you with CAT exam preparation.
How to get selected in CAT 2014:-
Analyze yourself: Before you start preparing for CAT exam, you must know where you stand right now. You can take CAT mock test or solve sample papers to check your performance. It will help you analyze your subject expertise. Note down the topics where you lack and also, the topics in which you are strong. It will help you in planning your strategy.
Make a Plan: Planning is the most important part. Prepare a study plan depending on the syllabus and the number of days left. Also, consider the above analysis while making a strategy. Allot time for everything including study, meals and fun. Follow the plan strictly. If your planning is effective, you will easily cover each and every topic within the time limit.
Practice a lot: Along with the study, you also need to practice. Once you finish a subject/topic, take a break and then, go for a practice session. In this practice session, you can revise the last topic you read or can solve sample CAT question-answers or sample papers. It will increase your problem-solving speed and will also improve your confidence. Practice makes you perfect for the long run.
Be familiar with the Exam pattern: CAT exam is conducted online and candidates are supposed to be familiar with the exam pattern in advance. If you are not familiar with online exam patterns, you can practice for that. You can easily find one or more online CAT test series or mock tests where you can give practice tests. You can also join a test series for better practice.
Keep Confidence: It is common to get depressed in the exam time. CAT exam is one of the most competitive exams in India, and students usually find it hard to crack. Yes, it may be hard, but it is not impossible. Keep the faith and confidence. If you study with complete dedication, you will definitely make through it.
