About Indo Tibetan Border Police Force: The ITBP was established on 24 October 1962 under the CRPF Act, in the starting stage of the Sino-Indian War of 1962. The Indian Parliament enacted the “Indo-Tibetan Border Police Force Act, 1992″ in order to “provide for the constitution and regulation” of the ITBP so to “for ensuring the security of the borders of India and for matters connected therewith”. ITBP was intended for stationing along the India’s border with the Chinese-occupied Tibet. ITBP is trained in Civil Medical Camp, disaster management, and biological, nuclear and chemical disasters. ITBP is one among the five Central Armed Police Forces of India.
