The online registration process starts from November every year and call letters for the online exam are released in the month of January. IBPS SO Exam Pattern 2016-17
In two hours, applicants have to attempt total 200 questions. For Law Officer- Scale I, Rajbhasha Adhikari Scale I and IT Officer Scale I, Agricultural Field Officer Scale I, HR/ Personnel Officer Scale I & Marketing Officer Scale I, IBPS SO Pattern is different, which is given in the table.
Note: 0.25 marks for each wrong answer will be deducted.

IBPS SO Selection Process 2017
The IBPS Specialist Officer Selection Process 2017 includes following phases, applicants have to clear all the phases, successfully. The ratio of online CWE SO exam and interview will be 80:20. Candidate must qualify both CWE and interview with the high merit to be shortlisted as a Specialist Officer.
- Phase- 1: Online Examination

Phase- 1: Online Examination
Candidates have to clear minimum cut-off in each subject and the total cut off marks. The minimum and total cutoff marks will be decided by IBPS.
Phase – 2: Interview
Shortlisted candidates will be informed through the call letter about the Interview process. The total marks allotted for Interview are 100 and the minimum qualifying marks are 40 (35 for ST/SC/OBC/PWD candidates).
At the time of the interview, original documents will be checked. The candidate may not be permitted to appear for the interview in the absence of original and self-attested photocopies of documents.
IBPS SO Final Selection: A final merit list would be prepared on the basis of marks obtained in Online exam and Interview process and candidates on the higher ranking would be selected finally as a Specialist Officer.
